SC. 03INT. PRODUCTION OFFICE — BOOKING

How booking works

Four steps. No portal, no account, no waiting on a sales rep to call you back.

  1. STEP 01

    Call or send the dates

Tell us the unit, the shoot dates and where it needs to be. Ten seconds on the phone beats a form, but the form works too.

  2. STEP 02

    We confirm availability

We check the actual unit against the actual dates and quote you. If we do not have it, we say so on that call.

  3. STEP 03

    Send the COI

Your production sends a certificate of insurance naming Cinecraft Services Inc. Nothing leaves the yard without it.

  4. STEP 04

    Delivery or pickup

We deliver to basecamp or you collect from the yard in North Hills. Jimmy’s cell stays on for the length of the rental.

SC. 04WHY CREWS CALL BACK

What you get that a bigger yard will not give you

01

A cell, not a queue

The number on this page reaches Jimmy directly. It stays on overnight while your unit is out. There is no hold music and no ticket number.

02

An answer in one call

Availability is checked against a real unit, not a system. You find out on the first call whether your date works.

03

Federal authority on file

USDOT 2957955 and MC 1718678, active and public. Your production office can verify both before cutting a PO.

04

Twenty-plus years of LA

Since 2003 on Valley streets, downtown blocks, canyon roads and stages. We know which units fit where before you send the location.

FAQFREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions coordinators actually ask

How far ahead should I book a unit?

Call as soon as you have a shoot date, even a soft one. Pilot season and the weeks around a holiday go first, and there is exactly one of each unit configuration on the lot at a time. If you need something tomorrow, still call — we will tell you in a minute whether we have it rather than making you wait on an email.

Do you deliver to set, or do I pick up?

Both work. Most productions have us deliver to basecamp or the location and collect at wrap. Others send a driver to the yard at 9440 Haskell Avenue in North Hills. Delivery inside Los Angeles County is standard; the fee depends on distance and time of day confirm.

What insurance do you need from my production?

A certificate of insurance naming Cinecraft Services Inc as additional insured and loss payee, covering the unit for the full rental period including travel days. Send it before the unit leaves the yard. Coverage limits and exact wording are on the insurance page and confirmed on the booking call confirm.

Who answers the phone at 2 a.m. on a night shoot?

Jimmy does. The number on this site, (818) 370-4079, is a cell phone, and it stays on for the length of your rental. Office administration — paperwork, invoicing, scheduling — runs Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Do you supply drivers, or is it a bare rental?

Ask on the call. Driver availability depends on the unit, the dates and whether your production is running its own transportation department confirm. We will not tell you a driver is booked until one actually is.

Got a date? Get an answer.

One call tells you whether the unit is free. If it is not, we will say so instead of chasing you for a week.
