Honeywagon rental for LA productions

What it is for

A honeywagon is a towable trailer divided into private rooms, each with its own door and step off the outside, with restroom facilities on board. It is how a basecamp gives cast somewhere to be: change, hold, sit down between setups, use the facilities, without crossing the lot or queueing behind the crew. On a day where people are in and out of wardrobe, that is the difference between a schedule that holds and one that slides an hour by lunch.

Cinecraft runs five room and six room honeywagons. Towable is the practical point. One tow vehicle drops the whole block of rooms in one spot and they stay there for the run, which is one parking footprint, one placement conversation and one servicing schedule instead of a separate trailer and a separate driver for every performer.

Room dimensions, what each room is fitted with, which rooms carry restrooms, and the fresh water and waste capacities are confirmed against the specific trailer going out on your dates. Ask for the layout on the call and you get the one for the actual unit.

Five rooms or six

The decision worth making before you call is how many rooms the day actually needs. Count the performers who need a door, not the ones on the call sheet. Six rooms sitting half-empty costs you footprint at a basecamp that probably did not have it to spare, and five rooms one short costs you a person waiting outside somebody else’s door in a robe.

Placement is the other one. A honeywagon is towed in and backed out, so it needs a reasonably level spot and room for the tow vehicle to get clear afterwards. Send the basecamp layout or a pin with your dates and we will tell you honestly whether it goes where you want it — before the day rather than on it.

Then ask about servicing. Fresh water and waste across five or six rooms over a week is a schedule, not an afterthought, and we would rather build it into the quote than have a room go out of service on a shoot day. That is what the water and pump truck is for.
